I spent 20 years in the helmet industry — mostly standing where you are now

Before founding KQD, I worked in helmet sales for two decades. On the B2B side, I dealt with importers and wholesalers all over the world. On the B2C side, I learned how e-commerce platforms really work — their rules, their penalties, their return policies.

That path taught me one thing above all: buying helmets from China is a trust problem, not a product problem.

What buyers are actually afraid of

If you have sourced helmets before, you know the fears:

"Is this a real factory?" You worry about middlemen posing as manufacturers, photos borrowed from someone else's workshop, and a "factory" that is really a trading office subcontracting to whoever is cheapest that week.

"Will my order look like the sample?" Delivery dates slip. The first sample is perfect — then production quality drifts, and nobody tells you until the goods are on the water.

"Will batch #5 match batch #1?" This one I understand especially well. Many of our clients are e-commerce sellers. For them, consistency is not a nice-to-have — it is survival. If a helmet sold on Amazon or Mercado Libre does not match previous batches, the result is complaints, returns, damaged listings, and sometimes a suspended account. One inconsistent batch can erase a year of reviews.

These are not unreasonable fears. They are the normal result of an industry where too many suppliers overpromise and underdeliver.

Why I started KQD in 2023

Around 2020, we noticed a clear shift: living standards were rising across markets that once bought the cheapest helmets available. More countries began enforcing — and more customers demanding — certified helmets. Uncertified, bottom-tier product was quietly losing its market.

So I started a new company built for that reality: KQD makes mid-to-high-end helmets with honest pricing — certified quality, stable batches, and a price that still makes sense for wholesale.

What we do differently

You verify us, not the other way around. Video walkthroughs of the workshop, live production updates during your order — ask, and we show you. The factory video below is a good place to start.

Batch consistency as a written commitment. Same materials, same molds, same QC checkpoints for every batch. Your 10th container matches your first.

Real delivery dates. We would rather quote a longer lead time and hit it than win the order with a fantasy date.

Sampling you can trust. A refundable sample fee (credited back on orders of 500+ pcs) — because the sample you approve should be the product you receive.

MOQ 300. We work with growing e-commerce sellers, not just big importers. You do not need a container-load to start.

The helmet business is a trust business

After 20 years — first selling, then understanding e-commerce, now manufacturing — I have seen every side of this industry. KQD exists because I believe a mid-market buyer deserves a supplier that treats your risks as seriously as you do.

If you are comparing suppliers right now, do not just compare prices. Ask the hard questions — of us, and of everyone else. That is how we would want to be evaluated.
